Mommy, where is Jesus?

Typical Saturday morning ...my 3-year old son was jumping up and down on the couch with cartoons blaring on the television while my miniature dachshund was dodging items being thrown her way.  I was busy cleaning (note to self.. don't bother).  "Mommy, where is Jesus?" my son asked.  The question stunned me.  I stood there with a deer-in-the-headlights look on my face while I thought of how to answer. It was important for me to show him that Jesus is everywhere but then again people say the same thing about Santa Clause.  Right about the time I opened my mouth to answer him....."I want that!! I want that!!!" he yells at the Star Wars Lego commercial blasting on the TV and then runs off into the next room to demolish whatever caught his eye.  My moment was lost.  I blew it.  The dog sighed.

"Mommy, where is Jesus?" is my answer to this all important question (fourteen years later).  It shows Jesus in the child's everyday activities, from baseball games to lost dogs.  Jesus is every where sharing in our joys and sorrows.
